Eight teams will soon trim to four in the 2025-26 College Football Playoff.

Following some time to rest and recover from the first round, the action is set to continue with the new year on the horizon. Games will also move from on-campus stadiums to neutral sites, as the top four seeds enter the frame after their first-round byes.

Those top four seeds are No. 1 Indiana, No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Georgia and No. 4 Texas Tech, which is in the CFP for the first time. Hoping to pull off the upsets are No. 5 Oregon, No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 9 Alabama and No. 10 Miami.

The CFP quarterfinals will start with one game on Wednesday, Dec. 31 and three on New Year’s Day Thursday.

After this round are the semifinals, which will be played on Thursday, Jan. 8 and Friday, Jan. 9.
