Founded in 2022, The Compass School of Texas is dedicated to providing students with “a strong academic foundation that fosters analytical thinking, instills the joy of learning in a wholesome environment, and inspires the pursuit of purpose.” This new co-ed private school, located in the heart of Preston Hollow near the intersection of Northwest Highway and Inwood Road, welcomed its first pre-kindergarten through fourth-grade students in the fall of 2023 and plans to expand to eighth grade within the next several years.

The school’s annual Compass Fiesta fundraiser events gather families, community supporters, and volunteers for a night of fun, food, and music. To date, two successful Fiestas are on the books, including the second annual event in March 2025, which gathered 850 attendees in the JSX Hangar at Dallas Love Field Airport and raised a total of $2.5 million. On the heels of this record-setting total, the school has recently announced its 2026 fundraiser event dates, location, chairs, and sponsors.

The Compass Fiesta will return to the JSX Hangar on the evening of Saturday, March 7, 2026. Stefanie and Michael Prentiss, Compass parents and longtime supporters of the Dallas education community, will serve as event chairs. Popular local band Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen will headline, and Mi Cocina will cater a Tex-Mex dinner. Additional community partners will include Luther King Capital Management, Central Market, Sewell, Benchmark, Hilltop Property Tax, More Like Wynne, and Lalo Tequila.

“Compass Fiesta shows the interest this small school has in the Metroplex and the international stage,” says Stefanie Prentiss. “We value diversity in heritage and in ideas. We welcome all as a part of one team, the Compass Team.”

Tickets for the Compass Fiesta 2026 will go on sale January 15. Additional sponsorships and auction donation opportunities are also available. Click here for more information.
