PHOENIX — Two people are in the hospital after a shooting in west Phoenix on Thursday morning, authorities said.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road around 4:21 a.m.

When police arrived on scene, they found two adults who were each suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Both adults were taken to a nearby hospital by the Phoenix Fire Department with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives responded to process the scene and investigate.
