PJ Harvey has been putting together her next album after wrapping up her most recent tour.

The English indie rock legend, who completed her “I Inside the Old Year Dying” tour in March 2025, has revealed her big plans for 2026.

“The two-year tour was such a wonderful experience to have been a part of, and I hugely enjoyed being able bring the music to life in a shared experience,” Harvey wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Dec. 31.

“Since then I have been writing songs for my next album and poems for my next book, which is a process that always surprises and challenges me, but one I realise I am committed to and love,” she continued. “I wish you a happy and peaceful year ahead, and thank you for your support.”

The forthcoming project will mark Harvey’s 11th studio album. Her last album, “I Inside the Old Year Dying” was released in 2023.

A multi-instrumentalist who is best known as a vocalist, guitarist and pianist, Harvey’s catalog consists of numerous gold, silver and platinum-certified records in her native country. Three of her projects — “Rid of Me” (1993), “To Bring You My Love” (1995) and “Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea” (2000) — appear on Rolling Stone’s list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Harvey is also the only artist to have won the U.K.’s prestigious Mercury Prize twice — once in 2001 and once in 2011. Harvey possesses eight Grammy nominations and eight Brit Award nominations as well.
