One person died and another was hospitalized following a shooting in northwest Dallas on Friday, police said.
Officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 11800 block of High Meadow Drive about 5:20 a.m., according to a statement from Dallas police. There, officers found that two people had been shot by a known suspect.
One of the victims — identified as Guadalupe Gonzalez, 57 — died at the scene, while the other was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said. Officials did not identify the second victim, and their condition is unknown as of Saturday morning.
Authorities arrested the suspect, Noah Trueba, 26, at the scene, according to police. He is being held in jail and is facing a murder charge.
