OBITUARY
Mary Jane Arnam, 92, of Albany Park, Chicago, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28th with her son at her side. Mary Jane was the daughter of Phillip Olsen and Mary Olsen and younger sister of Phyllis Olsen. She is survived by her son Steve Arnam, grandson Makai Arnam, and great granddaughter Kaia Arnam. Mary Jane was born and raised in Chicago and a lifelong Chicagoan. Mary Jane devoted her life to education and the pursuit of learning. She worked as a teacher and librarian in Chicago Public Schools, at Pulaski and Blaine grammar schools and Roosevelt High School. She was an avid contributor to the many museums in Chicago. Mary Jane was insightful, witty, and knowledgeable of any and all topics. She traveled the world and every state in the Union with her son and taught everyone in some way who had the pleasure of meeting her. The family would like to thank everyone involved in taking care of her in her final days. Information about a Celebration of Life will be forthcoming on social media.
