Bruce Arians Is Not In-Studio With The Pat McAfee Show Today; Where Is He?
January 6th, 2026
Where is Bruce Arians?
UPDATED: 2:02 p.m. So every Tuesday through the 2025 football season, Bucco Bruce Arians, senior advisor to Bucs general manager Jason Licht, has been an in-studio guest on The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN.
However, Arians is not there today.
Where is he?
Joe brings this up because legions of Buccaneers fans are searching for crumbs that could shed light on the pending/looming Team Glazer decision on the future of Todd Bowles as head coach.
Bowles himself said yesterday that he doesn’t have confirmation from ownership that he’s the Tampa Bay head coach for 2026, and that a meeting with him and Team Glazer will happen soon.
Is it possible Arians is in Tampa today, or en route, to discuss the future of his handpicked successor and many assistant coaches from his regime that remain on Bowles’ staff? Joe is simply throwing out the hypothetical.
Arians is a fiercely loyal guy and it’s well known, per Arians, that he hates Zoom calls and believes he needs to look someone in the eye when an important subject is on the table.
UPDATED: 2:02 p.m. — Arians was a call-in guest late in McAfee’s show, not in-studio.
He wasn’t asked directly if Bowles will return, but Arians talkes about Bowles fixing things in 2026.
“Todd’s going to right the ship and Jason Licht’s going to get another great draft,” Arians said. “They’re going to reload; they don’t have to rebuild.”
