SAN ANTONIO – An Alamo City icon is coming back, bringing Texas history to a new generation in a reimagined way.

The Institute of Texan Cultures, a beloved San Antonio institution, is set to reopen in a new location at Frost Tower on Jan. 29.

The museum, previously located in Hemisfair, was demolished to make way for a proposed new Spurs arena. UT-San Antonio leaders have promised that the reimagined museum will be “more modern, interactive, and deeply engaging.”

Visitors will soon have the opportunity to explore the refreshed exhibits and experience the rich cultural history of Texas in a contemporary setting.
