Clouds will continue to linger into Thursday morning behind our departing storm system that brought rain and a wintry mix to Central New York.

Temperatures on Thursday morning will start out in the low to mid-30s before warming a bit. Afternoon highs on Thursday will reach the middle-40s for most with a few spots across the Southern Tier potentially warming to near 50 degrees.

Clouds may break up by the afternoon leading to partly sunny skies before another batch of thicker clouds moves in ahead of our next disturbance.

This next storm system will bring another round of rain to the region on Friday. Temperatures will be much warmer than average for this time of the year leading to all rain.

Rain chances will continue into Saturday before a cold front sweeps through New York State ushering in colder temperatures and the chance for snow showers by Sunday.
