ORANGE PARK – She pulled five tarot cards from a stack and carefully laid them in five single stacks. Her eyes were affixed on the cards as she slowly waved her palm over them before drawing two more from the pile.
Suddenly, Clay County’s future started to take shape.
Lynn Pritchard, a psychic medium and Reiki Master, coach and minister, provided a free reading into the future for the county as 2026 marks a new beginning.
What her clairvoyance revealed was telling.
“I look at the cards here, it tells me that we have a fresh start this year,” the owner and founder of Spiritual Uplifts Metaphysical Store said. “Last year, we shed our skin with the Year of the Snake. This year is Year No. 1, where it’s all new beginnings.
“What I see is some disagreements, something with the council, something about preserves,” she said. “I also see something about new roads and something about the spaces in between.”
She turned over two more cards and placed them on top of one of the cards. She pulled two more cards and placed them on top of another card.
“There’s an issue there, but it looks like, yeah, it actually looks like it’s going to be a while before it’s going to go on. OK?”
She turned over two more cards.
“There’s a lot of back and forth,” Pritchard said. “When I look at the end results, though, it shows a good balance, and everybody is happy with the decision. This is falling around October. The good decision comes, and they get started. There’s definitely something about roadwork here.
“I’m also feeling some new opportunities that come to this area, in this county. Some don’t want it. It seems like there’s a lot of miscommunication within the county, or a lot of disagreement when it comes to getting things done. But they allow this new stuff to come in, and it will bring more money in. It shows the No. 9, which brings money in.”
Her final card was No. 9, which apparently means financial prosperity.
Lynn’s Spiritual Uplifts at 2039 Mound St. in Orange Park is easy to find. It’s on the Park Avenue side of Challenge Enterprises. Oh yes, the building is bright purple.
Her shop is filled with books, crystals, and metaphysical and spiritual items. She offers tarot card readings, lectures, healing classes, coaching, ministry counseling, crystal healing, horoscopes, astrology reports, energy work and gem mining.
She found her gift when she was 4, when she suffered a serious injury. She’s been communicating with the departed since, providing comfort and closure to the living by relaying heightened intuition, visions and feelings.
“I started seeing spirits, because I fell out of the car and hit my head,” she said. “I had a spirit. I’ve helped a lot of people who have passed, crossed over, and would give anything just so they can reunite and say their goodbyes, because they didn’t get to say their goodbyes.
“I started doing it professionally when I was about 16, and I started reading. Then, when I came here, I noticed there wasn’t a lot of it. I started this business about 15 years ago, and I was on the main road for a little while, and then I just bought this building.”
Spiritual Uplifts also offers candle-making, teas, a crystal light bed, a spiritual uplifts aura camera and an Amethyst infrared light bio mat.
Her clientele is so expensive; her shop is open seven days a week.
“We have people from the UK who call me,” she said. “Her daughter passed away from an illness. When I started reading for her, I had to do it over the phone, which sometimes is a little bit easier because it’s electronic. For some reason, it brings in everything a little quicker.
“So, when I was reading her, the first thing I got was like she was looking at a book, and she said it was wonderful. She just loved the book. They had taken all her paintings and published them in a book. She didn’t speak English, either, so she had to show me pictures. That’s how I read for them. I still read for them. I’ve read for them for years.”
She has regular customers from Georgia, South Carolina and Orlando.
Pritchard said once a family member gets their closure, they should limit their readings.
“It’s almost like you’re aggravating them,” she said. “If you want to do it over the holidays or whatever, fine. I tell them to come in once a year or once every three months.”
And she got it directly from the great beyond.
