Check out five transportation updates for road projects happening in Keller, Roanoke and northeast Fort Worth.
Ongoing
Pate Orr Road South
Project: The city of Keller is replacing deteriorating water lines along Pate Orr Road as part of a citywide effort plan for old water mains.
Update: Varied road closures are expected for construction starting mid-January, said Rachel Reynolds, Keller’s communications and public engagement manager.
- Timeline: Jan. 12-April; road rehabilitation expected to be completed in June
- Cost: $3.18 million
- Funding source: city of Keller, Texas Water Development Board
North Beach Street and Champions View Parkway traffic signal
Project: The work includes the installation of a new traffic signal with new pedestrian sidewalk and crosswalks, ADA compliant ramps and Accessible Pedestrian Signals, or APS.
Update: Traffic signal activation was delayed because of a manufacturer’s defect of the mast arm. The delivery of the mast arm scheduled for the end of February according to the city of Fort Worth.

- Cost: $2 million
- Funding source: city of Fort Worth
County Partnership Repaving Project
Project: Street maintenance will be conducted for eight asphalt streets in Keller in partnership with Tarrant County until late summer. Road closures and detours will be updated as each road is worked on.
The affected roads include:
- North Pearson Lane from Summer Lane to the northern city limits
- Willis Lane from North Tarrant Parkway to the southern city limits
- Roanoke Road from Knox Road to the northern city limits
- Cheyenne Trail from Cherokee Trail to Navajo Drive
- Judge Bland Road from Florence Road to the end of pavement
- Lucian Road from Marvin Street to the end of pavement
- Oak Hill Road from Keller Smithfield Road to the end of pavement
- Oak Trail from Roanoke Road to the end of pavement
Update: Construction at Cheyenne Trail from Cherokee Trail to Navajo Drive will start the week of Jan. 12. Construction at North Pearson Lane from Summer Lane to the northern city limits will start in late January.

- Cost: $1.29 million
- Funding source: city of Keller
Upcoming
Championship Parkway at SH 114
Project: The work includes adding dual left-turn lanes going northbound and southbound on Championship Parkway, constructing ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps, and reconfiguring the existing travel lane on Championship Parkway.
Update: Construction to start at the end of January.
- Timeline: Jan. 31-May
- Cost: $5 million
- Funding source: Denton County, city of Fort Worth
Howe Road reconstruction
Project: Concrete streets with curbs, gutter drainage and sidewalks will be implemented from Lois Street to Marshall Creek Road.
Update: The city is currently working on designs for reconstruction and will take a year to complete the designs.
