CHICAGO (WLS) — Normal CTA Blue Line service has resumed on Friday morning following delays due to Chicago police activity near a downtown station, officials said.
The CTA said there was a police presence near the station at Clark and Lake streets in the Loop in an alert issued at 3:25 a.m.

Blue Line trains were operating on the same track between Grand Avenue and LaSalle Street, the CTA said.
In another message issued at 5:48 a.m., the CTA said normal service and boarding had resumed.
What prompted the police response was not immediately clear.
