SAN ANTONIO — Two people, including one child, were treated for minor injuries after a fire broke out at a residence near the downtown area on Saturday.

Firefighters were dispatched just after 5 p.m. to the 400 block of Tulipan Walk near South Brazos Street.

According to the San Antonio Fire Department, the fire was limited to one room inside a small home. One child and one other occupant had escaped before first responders arrived on scene.
