Jones began his collegiate career at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas before signing with the Seminoles as part of their 2023 signing class.
This past season was Jones’ most productive at Florida State. He appeared in 12 games, earning three starts, while recording seven tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass breakup. He was forced to redshirt during the 2024 season due to injury and appeared in five games during the 2023 campaign.
While Jones is listed as a redshirt senior, he could possibly have two years of eligibility remaining as a result of starting his career in the JUCO and missing the 2024 season with injury.
Jones took visits to Illinois, North Carolina State and Michigan State this week, but chose the Tigers on Saturday night.
The 6-foot-5, 257-pound talent is Missouri’s 13th overall transfer addition this offseason, their first edge rusher. Jones also took a trip Michigan State before committed to Mizzou.
Missouri needs to replace the production of Zion Young, who exhausted his eligibility this past season, along with Damon Wilson II, who entered the transfer portal. At defensive end, they have Darris Smith, Langden Kitchen and Daeden Hopkins returning with JUCO product Demarcus Johnson coming in as part of the 2026 signing class.
