Two people were shot during a birthday party on the Northeast Side late Sunday after a fight broke out, and the suspect is still on the run, police said.
SAN ANTONIO — Two people were shot late Sunday night after a fight broke out during a birthday party on the city’s Northeast Side, according to San Antonio police.
Officers were called to the scene around 11:26 p.m. in the 8600 block of Starcrest Drive.
Police say an argument escalated during the party when a gun was pulled out. A male suspect then fired several shots, hitting a woman in the arm and a man in the leg.
The woman was taken by private vehicle to Northeast Baptist Hospital, while the man was transported by ambulance to Brooke Army Medical Center. Both victims are expected to be OK and were listed in stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. It’s unclear whether he left on foot or in a vehicle.
Detectives are now investigating and working to identify the shooter.
