A late-night domestic dispute in central Phoenix turned fatal.
PHOENIX — A domestic dispute between brothers in central Phoenix late Sunday night ended in tragedy, with one man dead from a stabbing, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers were called to the area of 17th Place and Cambridge Avenue around 11:46 p.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing. When officers arrived at the scene, they detained a man and located another adult man suffering from at least one stab wound.
The Phoenix Fire Department responded and transported the injured man to a nearby hospital.
Police said the victim later died from his injuries.
Preliminary information indicates the incident was the result of a domestic dispute between brothers.
No additional injuries were reported, the department said in a statement.
Police have not released the identities of those involved, and it is unclear whether charges have been filed at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
