Mavericks should keep these key dates in mind as the spring 2026 semester kicks off.

Late registration

Students can register for spring classes during the late registration period from Monday to Friday.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

University operations will pause Jan. 19 in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Classes will resume the next day.

Census date

Jan. 28 marks UTA’s official census date for the spring semester. Classes dropped before this day at 5 p.m. will not be recorded on academic transcripts.

Last day to drop

Students have until April 3 to drop spring courses. All drop requests must be completed in MyMav by 4 p.m.

Summer and fall 2026 registration begins

Enrollment for the upcoming summer and fall 2026 terms opens April 6. New and readmitted students must meet with their academic advisors prior to registration to enroll in a term.

Spring break

Academic activities will pause for spring break from March 9 to 13, with classes resuming the following week.

Last day of classes and student study day

The last day of classes is April 28. No classes will be held April 29 for a Student Study Day in preparation for final exams.

Final exams

Final exams will be held April 30 to May 6. The official last day of the semester is May 6. Students can find exam dates for the spring semester on UTA’s website.

Final grades

Final grades for the spring semester are due May 11 for the spring semester.
