Chelsea’s January transfer window has been quiet so far, with just one departure confirmed by the club so far.
Leo Castledine has joined Middlesbrough on a permanent basis for a small fee. He had enjoyed a very strong campaign so far while on loan at Huddersfield Town.
It looks as if departures are going to dominate the window for Chelsea, with desperate attempts to part ways with Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi still ongoing.

One player who fits the bill is Deivid Washington. After joining the club for £17m (BBC Sport), he has not made a first team appearance since Mauricio Pochettino was in charge.
This season, he has made just three appearances in Premier League 2, and a January loan move looked as if it was on the cards.
However, according to The Athletic, an injury suffered in a recent game against Benfica has left his chances of a move in jeopardy.
The most unfortunate part of things is that there are no significant injuries to report so far for the 20-year-old, the issue comes at the worst possible time for him.

This switch didn’t work out though, and he ended up returning to Stamford Bridge after limited appearances in South America.
Things have really not worked out for Washington since his move to the club, and Enzo Maresca didn’t give him a chance at all during his tenure.
With Liam Rosenior already showing a liking to Marc Guiu, as well as the presence of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, opportunities to feature again in West London look few and far between.
