Art Algebra will bring art from around the world to a new shop in Colleyville next to Girligirl Boutique.

In addition to hand-made art, the shop will include a coffee component with specialty, rotating craft drinks that will be primarily coffee- or matcha-based, co-owners Aatif Merchant and Aashna Bharwani said. The duo is currently testing local roasters and vendors to determine the best fit for their space.

“The drinks will be more experimental in flavor and globally inspired, designed to encourage people to linger and return,” the co-owners said in an email.

Merchant and Bharwani want to create a space where everyday homeowners and enthusiasts can enjoy their collection of art and objects that explore unique art styles, craftsmanship, and cultural expression, they said.

“Our goal is to make handmade art accessible and make the world of art for everyone–not just the elite or collectors–so that people can decorate their spaces with handcrafted pieces rather than mass-produced work from home stores,” co-owners Merchant and Bharwani said. “We believe everyone should have art they personally can connect to and resonate with, and we are out to make that happen with Art Algebra.”
