SAN ANTONIO — We’re less than a week away from the largest Martin Luther King Jr. celebration in the country, the annual MLK March.
On Monday, District 2 Councilmember Jalen McKee Rodriguez spoke on the steps of City Hall to officially invite the public to come out and take part.
Rodriguez says 3-time Olympic gold medalist and U.S. gymnast Gabby Douglas will be the keynote speaker. Grammy-award winner and actress Coco Jones will also be the headline performer during the post-march festivities at Pittman-Sullivan Park.
News 4 San Antonio will be livestreaming and proving Sky 4 aerial views from the march and Pittman-Sullivan Park from 10 a.m. to noon. We’ll also broadcast live on News 4 San Antonio from 11 a.m. to noon.
The 39th Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. March and Celebration will take place in person on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 10 a.m. March lineup begins as early as 7:30 a.m.
