SAN ANTONIO – A man is hospitalized after being shot inside his apartment early Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened just before 6 a.m. at the Salado Creek Vilas off Northeast Loop 410 near Starcrest Drive.
The victim told investigators that two women knocked on his door and he let them inside. At some point, one of the women pulled out a handgun and shot him in the upper leg.
The women then fled in a silver vehicle. The victim reportedly used a belt as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding before seeking help from a neighbor, who called 911.
His current condition has not been released. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
