The Houston Police Department said a group of teens were walking along the street when a car pulled up and people inside started shooting in their direction.
HOUSTON — An investigation is underway after two teens were hurt in an apparent drive-by shooting Thursday night in northwest Houston, police say.
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Bennington Street in the Houston Gardens neighborhood.
The Houston Police Department said a group of teens were walking along the street when a car pulled up and people inside started shooting in their direction.
HPD said one teen was shot in the buttocks area. That teen was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.
Another teen’s arm was grazed by a bullet. That teen received medical treatment at the scene and was released.
HPD said they didn’t have an exact age on the victims, but said they appear to be high-school-age kids.
There’s no word on a suspect or suspects.
