Woman hit, killed by car Friday evening in South Dallas, police say

The driver fled the scene, according to police.

DALLAS — Police are investigating after a woman was hit and killed by a vehicle Friday evening in South Dallas, officials say.

According to the Dallas Police Department, officers were called to the incident at about 7:36 p.m. near the intersection of Hickman Street and South Malcolm X Boulevard.

Police say it was found that the victim was hit and killed by a car, and that car had left the scene. 

The woman was not yet been identified by police. No suspects are in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
