Two children and one adult were taken to the hospital in critical condition, the Phoenix Fire Department says. Another adult has minor injuries.
PHOENIX — Multiple people are injured, including two children, following a crash in south Phoenix, authorities say.

The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the area of 19th and Southern avenues around 7 p.m. for reports of a crash involving multiple patients.
When crews got to the scene, they found a crash involving two vehicles.
The Phoenix Police Department responded to the scene and found a car and a pickup truck, along with several people who were injured.
The adult male passenger from the truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Two adults from the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and two children were taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Impairment is believed to be a factor in the crash, and one person was detained at the scene. The area will be closed while the investigation continues.
