The Dallas Zoo’s July Dollar Day is officially sold out.

The zoo is encouraging guests to purchase tickets now for the second Dollar Day, scheduled for August 5, while they’re still available.

Every year, the zoo offers discounted $1 admission on particular dates. This year, the July 17 date has already sold out but you can still buy tickets for August 5 online.

The zoo does not plan on selling tickets on-site on the day of, according to a news release.

Dollar Days will feature two pop-up snack shops offering the following:

  • $1 popcorn and cotton candy
  • $2 frozen treats
  • $2 chips
  • $3 canned sodas

North Texas temperatures can get hot during the discount days, so zoogoers are encouraged to dress accordingly, wear sunscreen and stay hydrated. The zoo says they will have misting stations and cooling fans to help people combat the heat.

If you’re heading to Dollar Days, parking can get busy. The zoo recommends using a ride-share or taking the DART Red Line to the zoo’s entrance. Parking at the Zoo is $10 and can be purchased at the admission booths upon entry to the zoo.

If families can’t make it to either Dollar Day, the Dallas Zoo is offering more ways for families to save this summer:

  • General admission to the zoo every day is $15 now through August 29.
  • Guests can add a one-day $25 Summer Savings Pass to any ticket for discounted access to the Zoo’s top six attractions, including unlimited carousel and mini-train rides, unlimited visits to the Destination: Dinosaurs exhibit, giraffe and bird feedings, and a brand-new virtual reality experience.
