Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa are getting into the Italian soccer club business. The couple is the proud owner of the Campobasso Football Club, which they purchased in 2022. ESPN and ESPN+ are chronicling their ownership in a new docuseries. People magazine is reporting the sports networks will air Running with the Wolves, a four-part docuseries, that gives viewers a bird’s-eye view of the talk show hosts and former soap stars’ path to obtaining Campobasso Football Club, also known as “Lupi” (Italian for wolves), and turning them into a successful team.

In the trailer, Ripa tells Consuelos:

I thought we were just going to buy a property in Italy.

Consuelos jokes:

Well, there’s a stadium

The docuseries will also center on the team, as “stakes have never been higher,” according to ESPN’s press release. They will deal with player injuries and a head coach who is persistent and pushes the players to their limits, as both Consuelos and Ripa must contend with the pressures of fan demands.
