A Dallas police officer was fired this week, police said, in connection with his arrest on a charge of bodily injury involving family violence last summer.
Police Chief Daniel Comeaux on Thursday fired Officer Thomas Fury, 31, during a disciplinary hearing that found Fury had engaged in “adverse conduct” during his arrest by Terrell police in late August, police said in a news release.
Fury declined to comment on the outcome when reached Thursday afternoon by The Dallas Morning News.
Terrell police arrested Fury early Aug. 29 morning on a charge of bodily injury involving family violence, a Class A misdemeanor. The status of the charge was not clear Thursday afternoon.
