On Jan. 15, the link kicked off a bi-weekly Innovation Symposium series. The goal of this series is to offer a platform for companies and entrepreneurs to showcase products and services, learn from a rotating panel of industry experts and connect with fellow innovators.
The first presenter was Chris Lahey, founder and CEO of Station Four. Station Four is a digital marketing software agency located in Jacksonville. They create competitive advantages for clients by utilizing all the latest technologies.
Station Four has been in business for almost 20 years, and in 2021 they started eTransit.
After completely re-doing the Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s website, Station Four saw a need for a platform geared for mass transit that enables measurable audience engagement across riders, businesses and job seekers. eTransit’s tools ensure that an agency engages in an effective manner with the audience’s digital-first expectations. UniDesk, originally Scott’s school project, is an artificial intelligence (AI) driven platform that is aiming to transform how organizations manage their IT department. During his presentation, Scott said that for employees, submitting an IT ticket with UniDesk is as easy as submitting an email. According to Scott, 65% of IT tickets can be solved with AI, and UniDesk is one platform that handles IT management. For more information about UniDesk visit unidesk.ai.
Don Smith, head of strategy for Gray Collar, spoke about his company’s goal to reshape the future of work.
“We’ve got a big problem in society today; there is a lot of anxiety around AI,” said Smith.
Gray Collar is an e-learning and career platform built for AI-proof, hands-on careers that pay well, scale, and offer long-term security.
Smith said that work has been divided into blue collar and white collar for the last century, and Gray Collar wants to change that.
“We want to reframe what it means to add value to the society that we live in. The goal is to get a job that means something to you with a company that shares your values,” said Smith.
