Re “6-year-old killed in Pacific Beach hit-run was ‘confident, fearless, full of zest for life’” (Jan. 19): Hudson is the third child run over and killed in San Diego recently. The driver fled the scene, as did the driver who killed a 6-year-old crossing University Avenue in October. We see it every day: drivers acting as if there are no consequences for running stop signs, speeding and creating dangerous conditions for people not encased in 2,000 pounds of metal. How many more innocent lives must be ripped from our community before we decide to enforce accountability for this behavior?
