Adams called the Super Bowl “mythical” in the week leading up to Sunday’s tilt, something he discussed but wasn’t allowed to touch. It remains so.
Seattle has been the scene of bitter NFC Championship losses for Adams. In his rookie season, the Packers lost to the Seahawks in overtime following a botched onside recovery. Sunday, his Rams got behind following a muffed punt and were denied a shot to take a late lead, failing on fourth down from the doorstep.
“It’s tough to focus on that right now,” Adams said when asked about the positives from his first season in L.A. “It’s tough. It’s a tough moment we’re in right now. So, process the emotions of this and then worry about that. Obviously, I love this team, love what this team is about. Love the fight that we had all year. It just sucks to come up short.”
The wideout generated four catches for 89 yards with a touchdown on Sunday, including two grabs of 20-plus yards.
Adams signed a two-year contract in Los Angeles in the offseason and clearly has a lot left in the tank. Barring a stunning decision to walk away, the future Hall of Famer will continue to search for a path to that mythical game.
