While the mayor said he’ll leave it up to New Yorkers to give the city’s winter storm response a grade, he did note during a Monday morning press briefing, “Today, our city is up and running thanks to the plans we put in place and the countless city workers who delivered on them.”

The conference capped off a whirlwind 24 hours for Mamdani.

Mamdani said his top priority is now keeping New Yorkers safe and warm under an enhanced “Code Blue.”

“Outreach teams are only intensifying their efforts today to connect vulnerable New Yorkers to shelter,” he said. “This is an all hands on deck effort.”
