ONSLOW COUNTY, NC — Multiple drug and weapons charges have put a Jacksonville man behind bars in Onslow County.

According to arrest records, 21-year-old Luis Ramirez Suarez was arrested on January 24 by the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say Ramirez Suarez was found in possession of 9.1 grams of cocaine and intended to sell the substance. He has been charged with felony possession of cocaine, manufacturing cocaine, and possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine.

In addition to the drug charges, Ramirez Suarez is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed gun. Records state he was carrying a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield .40-caliber handgun concealed on his person while off his own property.

Ramirez Suarez remains in custody at the Onslow County Jail under a secured bond.
