Temperatures to climb in Arizona ahead of WM Phoenix Open

  • January 28, 2026

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Plan on a cool start to the morning in Phoenix with temperatures in the 40s. After that, we have a very nice day with highs climbing for your Wednesday.

Highs will top out at around 75 degrees later this afternoon with the sunny skies.

Temperatures are set to climb as we get into the end of the workweek. By the time we get to Saturday, highs should get to 80 degrees. Plan on similar temperatures for your Sunday. We should avoid the records on those days, as they sit in the mid 80s, but temperatures will be running 10 degrees above average for this time of year.

The WM Phoenix Open starts next week, and the majority of the week should be problem-free. Temperatures should be in the mid 70s for the first half of the week, but we are keeping an eye on a system that could bring some weather changes.

Forecast models want to bring a trough into the region starting Thursday. At the very least this could bring breezy conditions and cooler temps, but it is too early to say if any rain is possible.

Right now, it does not look like a big system that will bring moisture, but we will keep a close eye on it.

Have a great day!
