The Turnpike Troubadours are bringing a potent mix of Red Dirt, honky-tonk and Americana to Billy Bob’s Texas in one of the area’s most anticipated country shows of the winter. After the venue’s first two concerts sold out, Billy Bob’s added a third night to accommodate the strong local demand.
Hailing from Tahlequah, Okla., the band formed in the mid-2000s and built a fiercely loyal following with gritty storytelling, fiery fiddle and evocative songwriting that bridges classic country and roots rock. With signature tunes like “Good Lord Lorrie,” “7 and 7” and “Long Hot Summer Day,” frontman Evan Felker is regarded as one of country’s most distinctive songwriters.
Across six studio albums — from early favorites like Goodbye Normal Street through their self-titled 2015 release and 2023’s comeback, A Cat in the Rain — the Turnpike Troubadours have earned widespread acclaim. The 2025 album The Price of Admission cemented their place as one of the most compelling voices in modern country.
