NEW YORK (PIX11) — New CEO and President of Partnership for New York City and former Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop sits down with PIX11 News to talk about transitioning into his new role at the business advocacy group, made up of hundreds of New York City CEOs, and the city’s budget deficit.
Fulop argues that the Mayor’s proposal to raise taxes on businesses and the rich is not the answer to shrinking the budget gap, and that he believes the $12 billion figure is inaccurate.
Fulop also dismisses current Jersey City Mayor James Solomon’s claim that Fulop’s administration left the city unprepared to respond to the snowstorm, saying all administrations blame the previous one for any shortcomings, including his own.
