Firefighters on Saturday night responded to a major blaze that spread to multiple buildings in the southern side of Fort Worth, officials said.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in the 2900 block of Vaughn Boulevard, officials on the scene said.

Officials believe the fire started in a commercial building containing auto parts and quickly spread to several surrounding buildings, firefighters on the scene said. Officials called in a second alarm get assistance battling the fire.

The effort was complicated by a partial roof collapse, but no one was injured during the incident, officials said.

It took fire crews several hours to put out the blaze, officials said. It’s not clear what may have caused the fire.
