Sam Houston Fire leads to total loss, no injuries


VICTORIA, Texas – Emergency responders battle a home fire near Sam Houston Drive, E Mistletoe Avenue, and Palmetto Avenue at around 5:15 p.m.

Heavy smoke poured into the air from the scene, limiting the visibility for drivers on Sam Houston.

Crews battled the fires until sometime before 8 p.m. The city says the damage resulted in a total loss, but there were no injuries to the lone resident inside.

The Fire Marshal’s office is investigating a cause.
