A fire at a two-story apartment building in Baldwin Hills was knocked down in 12 minutes Tuesday evening with no injuries reported.
Firefighters responded at 9:21 p.m. to 3933 S. Nicolet Ave., near La Brea Avenue, where they found smoke coming from one unit, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz.
Firefighters will remain at the scene for overhaul duties.
