The motorcycle was involved in a collision in downtown Phoenix on Wednesday, according to police.
PHOENIX — A motorcyclist died Wednesday afternoon after he was involved in a traffic collision in downtown Phoenix.
The Phoenix Police Department said 65-year-old Michael Pryor was operating a motorcycle in the area of 7th and Grant streets, south of Chase Field, when the motorcycle was involved in a crash with a vehicle. Pryor was taken to a hospital and died from his injuries.
Police said the involved vehicle remained on scene.
Preliminary information suggests the motorcycle was traveling south on 7th Street and the car was making a turn onto northbound 7th Street from Grant Street when the collision occurred, Phoenix police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
