Eight people were hurt after the MTA bus they were on hit a pole in Queens.
According to the NYPD, the accident happened around 6 a.m. on the corner of 57th Road and Main Street in the Queensboro Hill section of the borough.
Apparently, the bus was traveling westbound on 57th Road and made a right turn onto Main Street, it was then that it struck the pole.
Images from the scene showed the bus with damage and the street light pole completely ripped from the ground with debris scattered around the scene. Investigators were seen analyzing the aftermath of the crash.
Out of the eight people hurt, seven were passengers on the bus. They were all taken to Booth Memorial Hospital but are in stable condition, police said. The condition of the 8th person hurt is unclear.
An investigation is ongoing.
