The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is accepting nominations for the district’s annual Crossing Guard of the Year award program. Nominations are open now and will be accepted until Friday, April 17, at 5 p.m. Chicagoans, including students, school leaders and families, are encouraged to participate in the nomination process for Crossing Guard of the Year. Nominees will be evaluated on factors such as years of service and attendance, among other criteria, and four winners will be named. Nominations can be submitted online at cps.edu.
