The Dallas Mavericks officially announced a multi-year contract extension with center Daniel Gafford Saturday night.

While the team did not disclose the details of the deal, The Dallas Morning News’ Mike Curtis previously reported that Gafford was expected to sign a three-year extension worth nearly $60 million.

The deal keeps the Mavericks’ vaunted frontcourt trio of Gafford, Dereck Lively II and Anthony Davis together for the foreseeable future. During his 86-game tenure in Dallas, Gafford has been productive even while splitting starting center duties with Lively. He has put up 11.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game on just over 21 minutes per contest. He has also proved a defensive force on the glass, averaging 1.8 blocks per game as a Maverick.

The former Arkansas Razorback was one of many Mavericks who spent time out with an injury last season. He was out about a month with a right knee sprain he sustained in February. The absence didn’t stop him from scoring a career-high 12.3 points per game last season.
