At the recent Big 12 Football Media Days in Texas, Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark made his position crystal clear: “I’m doubling down today on 5+11. It’s the right playoff format.”
Yormark didn’t stop there. He also predicted his conference would be more than a one-team entry in next year’s College Football Playoff, should it expand to 16 teams as expected. “We will show once again we can compete with anyone,” he declared, underscoring his confidence in the league’s talent, depth, and direction.
