PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for March 11, 2026:
Birria Queen – 2535 E Bell Rd, Phoenix
3 violations:
- No certified food manager
- Hot dogs and meat broth not date marked
- Live and dead roaches on sticky trap in storage room
Joe’s Italian Restaurant – 4419 E Main Street, Mesa
3 violations
- Raw eggs placed above open pasta pans
- Meatballs not kept hot enough
- Sanitizer not mixed properly
Brunch Snob – 1920 W Germann Rd, Chandler
4 violations:
- Raw pork sausage stored above ready-to-eat packages of potatoes
- Not enough sanitizer in dishwasher
- Salmon and brisket not kept cold enough
- Build-up of organic debris in cooler
Tatemados Tacos al Carbon – 2919 N 59th Ave, Phoenix
5 violations:
- Raw chicken and pork over ready-to-eat containers
- Roasted peppers not cooling properly
- Roasted jalapeños not kept hot enough
- Shredded cheese not kept cold enough
- Mashed pinto beans kept past discard date
