A total of seven Oregon State baseball players were selected in the 2025 MLB draft.
The first, second and third rounds commenced Sunday, and just one Beaver heard his name called in those rounds: shortstop Aiva Arquette, picked No. 7 overall in the first round by the Miami Marlins.
Outfielder Gavin Turley was selected early in the day Monday, picked No. 110 overall in the fourth round by the Athletics.
As Monday rolled along, five more Beavers came off the board: left-handed pitcher Nelson Keljo (No. 192, Cleveland Guardians); right-handed pitcher Kellan Oakes (No. 276, Houston Astros); catcher Wilson Weber (No. 348, Miami Marlins); outfielder Dallas Macias (No. 457, Atlanta Braves); and outfielder Canon Reeder (No. 533, Pittsburgh Pirates).
One player from the Beavers was a surprise undrafted prospect: third baseman Trent Caraway, originally ranked the No. 145 prospect by MLB.com but not selected by any team in the 20-round, 615-pick draft.
After hitting .267 this season with 12 home runs and 47 RBI, Caraway came up big in the postseason for the Beavers. He hit a program record six home runs in postseason play and was named Most Outstanding Player at the Corvallis regional.
Caraway entered the transfer portal following the Beavers’ run to the College World Series.
