PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for March 18, 2026:
PP Thai & Sushi Bar – 17 W Main Street, Mesa
3 violations:
- Employee cracked egg, then handled dishes without washing hands
- Noodles and rice not at proper temperature
- Chemical spray bottles next to food surfaces
Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa – 2400 E Missouri Avenue, Phoenix
3 violations:
- Raw beef stored above chicken
- Tortilla soup not cooling properly
- Tortilla soup out of date
Apache Lake Marina & Resort – 229.5 Mile Marker, Roosevelt
4 violations:
- Employee touched food without washing hands
- Nacho cheese with organic growth
- Raw chorizo stored above sauces
- Salsa and noodles out of date
Ono Hawaiian BBQ – 660 W Bell Road, Phoenix
4 violations:
- Employee changed gloves without washing hands
- Chicken not cooked to proper temperature
- Cabbage and spam not kept cool enough
- Sewage not draining properly
Tacos El Jefe – 4923 E Chandler Boulevard, Phoenix
4 violations:
- Rice not cooling properly
- Carne asada not kept warm enough
- Bacon and chorizo not kept cool enough
- Drink nozzle stops flow of water to mop sink hose
