CHICAGO — Nearly two dozen dogs from Texas have found temporary refuge in Chicago after being displaced by the Hill Country flooding.
PAWS Chicago’s disaster relief team has partnered with local organizations to provide shelter for these pets, who were already in shelters before the flooding occurred.
In the coming weeks, the dogs will receive medical care and vaccinations as they prepare to be adopted into new homes.
PAWS Chicago is also expecting to welcome more animals from Austin Pets Alive! on Thursday, continuing their efforts to provide relief and support for pets affected by the disaster.
