SAN ANTONIO — The big story we’re following this week is Operation Midnight Hammer. The U.S. attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities.
The B-2 stealth bombers carrying 30,000 pound bunker busters, targeted the Fordo and Natanz enrichment facilities, as well as the Isfahan nuclear site.

President Trump called the strikes “very successful.” Although assessments are still being made about how destructive the strikes were to the sites hundreds of feet underground.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video statement following the strike by America. The decision to go ahead with the strikes puts the U.S. directly into the Middle East conflict, raising concerns about if and how Iran will respond.
President Trump has warned retaliation from Iran on U.S. assets will be met with even greater force than what was used in Operation Midnight Hammer.
Recently Iran has avoided targeting American troops and other targets that could put the U.S. into the war. Iranian leaders may still be hoping to make a deal with the Trump administration to end the conflict and avoid taking on both the United States and Israel.
We are working to get answers on this still developing story including:
- When will we know the exact impact of the airstrikes on Iran?
- What will the fallout be in the region and the Americans here at home?
- How will the financial markets respond?
- Will there be any impact to the economy, especially fuel prices?
We’ll continue to work to get answers on this story and others.
