Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs will attend the ribbon-cutting for a new forestry and fire dispatch center as officials update wildfire safety plans.

PHOENIX — The ribbon-cutting for a new Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) dispatch and incident and command center will be on Friday morning.

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, along with DFFM officials, will attend the ribbon-cutting.

Officials will also give an update on the upcoming wildfire season and unveil an initiative to enhance wildfire prevention and safety efforts.

The event is taking place near I-17 and West Pinnacle Peak Road around 9:30 a.m.
