DOWNTOWN — Grammy-award-winning singer Lucy Dacus is performing at Millennium Park this July with the Chicago Philharmonic.
Dacus announced the show Tuesday on her social media pages. Presale for the July 19 show started on Wednesday, with regular ticket sales to start Friday.
“They’re letting this guy sing with the @chicagophilharmonic at Millennium Park! My mom is from Illinois, so I’ve been visiting this exact place since I can remember. Also my aunt will be on oboe for this :’) really cool,” Dacus wrote in a Facebook post.
Chicago rock band Ratboys will open for Dacus, she said.
Dacus is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and record producer. She’s also a member of the Grammy-winning trio Boygenius with Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.
Dacus’ recently announced 2026 tour is centered around her 2025 album “Forever Is a Feeling,” according to Pitchfork. She’s set to play at numerous venues across the country, including theaters and music festivals, from May through July.
Ratboys, which just kicked off a national tour in February, has grown their fan base exponentially. In 2020, the band played at a campaign rally for Bernie Sanders and previously toured with and opened for bands like Wilco, The Decemberists and others.
Ratboys performed for a sold-out crowd at Beat Kitchen in February to celebrate the release of their new album “Singin’ to an Empty Chair” and to raise funds for local immigrant communities.
